Meet Dr. Kem!

Hi there! I’m so glad you stopped by to see what’s brewing at Books & Coffee. My name is Dr. Kem. I’m a wife, a mother and a college professor-turned University Writing Center Director. I’ve spent the last sixteen years teaching composition and writing courses as well as pursuing graduate degrees in writing. I love to read and write and I’m passionate about helping other writers perfect their craft.

I also love books and coffee because these two things inspire me to do creative work! There’s just nothing better than curling up with a good book and a warm cup of coffee–or tea–to get your day off to a great start.

So, since you’re here, grab a warm mug and settle in with pen and paper. Here you’ll find insight and inspiration for getting started. Whether you have a grammar question  a difficult writing assignment or you’re struggling with how to start. I’m here to give you what you need.  Or maybe you’re already a writer, but looking for ways to maintain or tweak the work that you do. Wherever you are in the process, I’ve got you covered! And even if you don’t see what you’re looking for here, just put your question in the comments.  I bet I can find the answer for you!
